This Document supports the dropping of the atomic bombs by General G.S.C who is sending it to General Carl Spants. Its stating where the atomic bombs are going to be dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and additional bombs will be delivered on the above targets as soon as ready by the project staff. Also to send this document to General MacArthur and The Chief of staff so they know what is going on with the information provided. This evidence shows that America means business and they do not mess around when it comes to saving thousands and maybe millions of lives.
President Truman Sent this document and it is for dropping the atomic bomb only because it was necessary by him to save not just American lives but by saving Japanese lives too. He wanted American soldiers to come home, be with their families, and not fighting in the war. Truman also wanted on his conscience that he was a great president by bringing Americans home and not having them still fighting and more of them dieing just because Japan wouldn't give up. So by sending this letter it was an approval to drop the atomic bombs to end the war.
President Truman said in his letter that by dropping the atomic bombs it was the right decision to make. By dropping them he stated it was to save 125,000 American youngsters and as well as 125,000 Japanese youngsters from getting killed. Also he probably saved half of a million youngsters on both sides from being maimed for life. He finally said in his latter, " I knew what I was doing when I stopped the war that would of killed a half of a million youngsters on both sides if those bombs had not been dropped. I have no regrets and, under the same circumstances, I would do it again." He said this letter isn't private so everyone can see what his reasons were to dropping the atomic bomb. It was a wise decision but the right one to make.
This document was in the morning of September 2nd 1945, two weeks after
accepting the Allies terms, Japan formally surrendered. The ceremonies,
less than half an hour long, took place on board the battleship USS Missouri,
anchored with other United States and British ships in Tokyo
Bay. Japan finally understood they weren't going to win and made a smart decision by surrendering and signing this document so we can finally be at peace with each other. By this paper work being signed it saved thousand of American and Japanese lives maybe even more. This shows evidence that is was necessary to drop the two bombs.
This document is where we sent Japan a warning saying before we use this bomb we are sending you this to surrender now and will call and tell the air force to return home. If you do not surrender then we will drop bomb after bomb until you do or until you are wiped out. This evidence shows that using the bomb was the right decision because the Japanese would of never given up not even until they were wiped out. If we didn't use the bomb more and more Americans would of died and a lot of people today wouldn't have been alive if there elderly died in the war.
This document shows that the United States had to choose in using the bomb because Japan didn't want to surrender. They had to plan a date in which to drop the bombs. The dates chosen to drop the bomb was in the range of August 1 through August 10. The cities chosen to be bombed were
Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Kokura, and Niigata. These cities were picked because it had the most Japanese sanctuaries. The U.S needed to show Japan how much they wanted them to surrender and be peaceful with each other by using the atomic bombs.
